Don't complain to me that the format sucks, that using frames suck, or these pages don't look like the rest of the site. But that seemed a tepid response. It still makes him angry. Perhaps everybody's eyes are different, some finding light on dark better and some finding dark on light better. Your thinking is way too simplistic. The level of suck here is staggering in its own right, but the fact that it's intended to be a public information web site makes it even worse. In a brightly lit offce environment, black text on white background is fine because the display is not noticeably brighter than the surrounding environment.

Support Support staff gets a similar situation. Either way, the site is way too slow to load. I often turn the backlight brightness down as low as possible on my devices, for comfortable viewing in dark environments. However, most websites still retain that all-important component that is text. This sums it up better than I can: Thanks for your input as always, James. I find it difficult to read a website with a black background, but perhaps it's just my eyesight.
I am not saying websites should use black backgrounds, but something in between, because neither extreme is very good. Are you wasting money on periodic website redesign? Ah, wait, there's a message at the top flashing up very slowly. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm sorry to hear you have trouble loading MUO sometimes. The eye strain from white backgrounds is just unbelievable.
